Here's a spring-time rocking game to sing to the tune of Baa baa black sheep. Play it at nappy changing, or anytime that baby is lying on a play mat or blanket and having a kick about. Rock baby from side to side as you say or sing the rhyme – hold hands to rock, or if too little, take the sides of the changing mat or a little blanket and roll baby from side to side in it:

Daffy-down-dilly

Has newly come to town,

With her frilly yellow pettycoat,

And bright green gown.

Dale Gale rocked up

And nearly knocked her down

But Daffy-down-dilly

Just said, don't be silly!
